Analog Coffee Visual Refresh
Local coffee shops often serve as important gathering places within a community.

This project was created during my internship at Analog Coffee, a local coffee shop in Madison, Indiana, known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and strong connection to the neighborhood.

As part of my internship, I reshot all menu items and photographed customers, baristas, and the overall in-store atmosphere to capture the everyday experience of the space. In addition to these responsibilities,
I created several independent design pieces, including Instagram posts and flyers, such as a summer menu flyer.

Across both photography and graphic design, I focused on identifying what information customers need most when ordering, while also maintaining a sense of excitement and enjoyment around the coffee experience.

For the flyer design, I focused on creating a visual style that reflects Analog Coffee’s warm, friendly, and slightly vintage character. The color palette draws inspiration from analog and vintage tones, emphasizing the idea of face-to-face communication and the human connections that happen in the space.

To support this feeling, I used Polaroid-style photography, which adds a sense of nostalgia and familiarity. I also incorporated sticker-like graphic elements to keep the design playful and inviting, reflecting the joyful and relaxed atmosphere of the shop.

In terms of visual hierarchy, I intentionally limited the amount of information shown. The flyer highlights what customers care about most when ordering—product images, prices, and short descriptions—arranged in a clear and balanced way. This approach helps customers quickly understand the offerings while still feeling excited about the experience.
