In this project, I redesigned the existing TARC bus schedule map by focusing on what information riders need most and removing what felt unnecessary. Since bus schedules are used by many different people, clarity is essential. The redesign emphasizes clear information hierarchy, readability, and visual clarity, allowing users to understand routes and times quickly and smoothly.

- Visual Clarity
The original TARC bus schedule map contained a large amount of visual information, including logos and illustrations that did not directly support user needs. While visually present, many of these elements distracted from the most important information riders look for first.
The timetable itself was difficult to read, with small text and tight line spacing that made it hard to scan times quickly. Key information, such as routes and schedules, was placed in less visible areas, which required users to search for what mattered most. Overall, the layout felt visually crowded, making the schedule overwhelming rather than easy to understand.
In redesigning the bus schedule, my main focus was on creating more visual space and removing unnecessary elements. By reducing visual clutter, I aimed to make the design feel more open and easier to natvigate, rather than dense or overwhelming. This helped clarify what information was truly essential and allowed it to stand out more clearly.
Another key change was simplifying the route map itself. The original version included many station names and visual details that made it difficult to read at a glance. I redesigned the route map to be more minimal and accessible, so users could quickly understand the routes without confusion.
I also redesigned the timetable to improve navigation and readability. While working on this, I reflected on bus schedules I had encountered in my home country and used those experiences as reference points for creating a clearer and more intuitive schedule design.
